Anne McKenzie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne McKenzie on August 10, 2026 at the age of 82.

Anne was born on February 22, 1944 in Sussex England in her mother’s bed during a black out in the second world war, to Bertram and Pamela Pittaway.

She leaves behind four son’s, Chris, Phillip (deceased), Russell and Daniel McKenzie. Anne also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Kay McKenzie as well as three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Anne McKenzie, Julia McKenzie, Erin McKenzie and Rachel Bozak. Anne furthermore leaves behind her sister Joanie Olson (William Olson, husband) and her deceased brother Michael Pittaway. There were also numerous nieces and nephews that were left behind.

Anne wore many hats throughout her life; she was a secretary for Revelstoke Secondary, worked at BC Ferries, bookkeeper etc. But the best hat Anne wore was mother. She was the best. She had a generous heart, a stubbornness in her that kept her going through life’s challenges, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Anne will be deeply missed, fondly remembered and forever loved by those who were fortunate enough to be graced by her presence.

Mom, we miss you, will never forget you and will see you when our time comes.
