Shirley Grant nee Kreutz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Shirley Diane Grant (nee Kreutz) on Saturday August 1st, 2026.

Shirley leaves behind two children, daughter Jackie Grant (Shane) and son Jeff Grant (Allison), siblings Lois Kreutz and Barry (Elaine) Kreutz, grandson Kainan Kostuk, along with her nieces Shelley Deacon (Jesse), Leann Thompson (Andy) and Shari Kreutz (Michael), nephews Gary and Robert Kreutz, Rod and Jeff Pickering and their extended families.

Shirley was predeceased by her father and mother Norman and Angele Kreutz, sister Faye (Billy) Pickering, brother Wayne (Donna) Kreutz, and grandson Kody Kostuk.

Shirley was born in Wetaskiwin AB on May 25, 1945 and was the oldest child of a family of five. She married and moved to Merritt BC in 1970 where she raised her children. She easily made long term friendships, while curling, working at the Val. She enjoyed camping with family, loved a good water fight or a dirty joke and was always the Prankster! Once her children were grown, she moved to Kamloops where she worked and eventually retired.

Shirley was a fun loving lady who had no problem speaking her mind. While being very stubborn she had no issues telling you know where you could go. She passed away peacefully with family at Overlander Extended Care in Kamloops.
