In Loving Memory

Giuseppe “Joe” Timperio

TIMPERIO, Giuseppe

July 5, 1967 – Revelstoke, British Columbia

June 11, 2026 – Vernon, British Columbia

Giuseppe “Joe” Timperio of Vernon, BC passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 58 years.

Joe was born in Revelstoke, British Columbia on July 5, 1967 and grew up there surrounded by his family’s vibrant Italian community. When he was 18, Joe began to work for the Canadian Pacific Railroad in Revelstoke with his father, Vincenzo, where he worked as a locomotive engineer until his retirement from the Coquitlam yard in January 2023.

Joe was a true sports enthusiast, playing soccer, ice hockey and baseball. He played hockey in Revelstoke eventually making it to the WHL with the Lethbridge Broncos. As an adult he played CP hockey with the Boxcar Bruins and played men’s slo-pitch for many years.

Joe met his wife, Lori, through mutual friends while playing slo-pitch in 1996. They were married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on March 2, 2000. They eventually built a house in Maple Ridge, British Columbia where they raised their three kids: Vincent, Ashley, and Talia. Joe was a very proud man who always ensured his family was provided for.

Joe and his family moved to Vernon in 2023 after his retirement so they could be closer to both of their families.

Joe is survived by his wife, Lori; his son, Vincent; his daughters, Ashley and Talia; and his brother Robert (Lisa); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Ines Timperio.

Joe will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, his determination, loyalty and love for his family. He left a lasting impression on the lives of everyone he met and will be missed deeply. Rest in peace.

What a privilege to have been able to spend time with Joe over the years.

My deepest condolences Lori and to the rest of the Timperio family.
I had the pleasure of knowing Joe when we lived in Revelstoke, I played on the same hockey, slow-pitch teams with Joe, he was such a great teammate.
When Joe got accepted to take the locomotive engineers training program, Joe asked me to train him on the Mountain sub as a Locomotive engineer.
When Joe transferred to the coast we sort of lost touch with each other.
But we did manage to see each other when Joe came to Revelstoke to visit family.
Rest in peace Joe, you will be remembered as a kind gentle person.
