Trevor “Dave” Jones

Trevor “Dave” Jones passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, leaving behind a life well lived and a legacy of hard work, dedication, and family devotion. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 plus years, Joan, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership.

Dave spent the majority of his working life as a dispatcher for several trucking companies throughout BC and the Yukon. Dave was known for his reliability and deep understanding of the road and the people who travelled it. After retirement at age 65, Dave was far from finished. With the same determination that guided his earlier career, he went on to run his own pilot car service, proudly working another 20 years and staying connected to the industry he loved.

Above all else, Dave valued his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather (Papa) who took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those he loved. He is survived by his sons Bradley and Brent (Jessica), and his daughter Shelley (Bert) and his parter Eyvonne Kerr. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Danielle, Lindsey (Jessie), Nerissa, Bryant (Jenn), and Bradley, and his furry best friend, Jax, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Dave lived a full and meaningful life marked perseverance, independence, and quite strength. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his steady presence, and the enduring love he had for his family, and his wonderful sense of humor. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Dave’s memory to the Majorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice are greatly appreciated.
