In Loving Memory

Phillip Bertram McKenzie

It is with broken hearts that the family of Phillip Bertram McKenzie announce his sudden passing at his home in Vernon, B.C. on May 6, 2026.

Phillip was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on March 11, 1966.

Phillip was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and driving his hot rod cars. With much determination and pride, he achieved his heavy-duty mechanic licence, helicopter pilot licence and was an excellent heavy equipment operator!

Phillip was a force of power that will always be with us. With his passing, we mourn the loss of a loyal, big heart-ed, funny and respectful man.

Phillip will be forever missed and remembered by his cherished family. Father Bud, mother Anne and stepmother Bette Todd; his three brothers Christopher, Russell (Kay) and Daniel; his nieces Anne Jaskin (Colby), Julie, Erin (Sam Bozak), Rachel Bozak and many countless family and friends.

A special thank you to Tim Boruch, a lifelong friend and cousin. Phil and Tim stayed by each others side to the very end.

Phil, we love you and will see you in time. God bless and Rest in Peace.

    Uncle Phil,

I’m really going to miss you. I’m grateful we were able to stay in touch through Dad up to the end. You always made me laugh, and made me feel proud to be your family. We always had a special connection. You made me feel strong, especially during our days at the gym. I’m grateful you got to meet my sons and gave your blessing to my fiance Teah. We will always cherish our memories of you, and there will never be someone quite like you. You’re very loved and admired. I love you uncle Phlippy, rest in peace.
