Margaret Rose Koster

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Rose Koster announces her passing on April 11, 2026, in Vernon, BC.

Margaret was born on October 20, 1930, in Vegreville, AB, where she spent her childhood with her two sisters. The family later moved to Victoria, where Margaret married Robert Owens, with whom she welcomed two children. After their divorce, Margaret lived in Courtenay, before eventually settling in Kamloops.

In Kamloops, she met and married Henry Koster, who had three children of his own. Together, they moved their blended family to Flying Five Ranch in Lac la Hache, BC, where the children were raised. After selling the ranch, Margaret and Henry relocated to South Surrey, where she worked as a realtor specializing in ranch sales. Following Henry’s passing, Margaret moved to the Okanagan, where she enjoyed her retirement years.

Margaret is survived by her children, Robert and Janice; her stepchildren, Larry and Lynn; and her sisters, Anita and Lorraine. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and her stepson, John.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
