In Loving Memory

Beryl Allan

Beryl Allan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on February 5, 2026, at the age of 83.

Beryl is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Les Allan, and their three children: Dawn Mosley, Robyn (Scott) Pink, and Glenn (Elise) Allan. She leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren—Bryce, Kyler, Jayse, Christian, Cameron, Carley, Sadie, and Parker—as well as her young great‑grandson, Oliver, who she was so thankful to have been able to meet.

Born and raised near Montreal, Quebec, Beryl was the only child of Flo and Harold Dawe. It was in Montreal that she met the love of her life, Les. After welcoming their three children in Montreal, the Allans made a big move west to Richmond, BC, in 1980 when Les accepted a transfer with Air Canada.

In 1993, Beryl and Les discovered a home overlooking Okanagan Lake during a visit to the Vernon area—a place they instantly fell in love with and soon made their own. Vernon became the backdrop for some of Beryl’s happiest years.

Beryl had an extraordinary gift for friendship. She nurtured friend and family connections across Canada and around the world, keeping in touch with loved ones for as long as she possibly could. She had a genuine interest in the lives of others and was always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a warm smile to anyone who needed it.

She found joy in her involvement with a local Vernon sorority and took pride in her home‑based businesses, selling Weekender and Jockey clothing during her retirement years. But above all, Beryl’s greatest love was her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children and grandchildren. She spent countless days in Vancouver supporting her daughters and helping raise her grandchildren, playing a central role in their lives and growth. Her presence shaped her family in ways that will never be forgotten.

Beryl will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her humour, and her unwavering devotion to the people she loved.

A service to celebrate Beryl’s life will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday, May 9th at 2:00 p.m.
