Laurie (Lorraine) Francks (nee McKenna)

Sept. 21,1943-March 11, 2026

Laurie was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, on September 21, 1943.  She made BC her home. She worked and raised her two sons here.  Laurie loved animals and music and dancing.  She made friends with everyone she met and was always first to introduce herself to new people in the neighbourhood or lend a helping hand whether it be shovelling snow, or weeding or just carrying in groceries. Laurie was often seen walking her little dog, Brandy, on East Hill. Laurie was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and her sister and her late husband, Henry Just.  Laurie is survived by her two sons Michael and Jim, three grand daughters, and two great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Polly.  Laurie passed away at the age of 82 at Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong, BC on March 11, 2026.
