In Loving Memory
Robert Wayne Jefcoat

Robert Wayne Jefcoat (Wayne) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 after a long and hard-fought battle with brain tumors. Born on July 18, 1945, Wayne was the youngest of seven siblings and carried with him throughout his life the quiet resilience and humility that defined his character. Wayne was born in Salmon Arm and spent the majority of his life in Salmon Arm, Armstrong and Enderby.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Joanne, his son, Rob (Janet) Jefcoat, his daughter, Pam Jefcoat (Glenn Matthiesen), his stepsons, Mark (Janet) Willment and Doug (Rhonda) Willment, Ken Flemming, Kelly Flemming, Terry (Rachel) Flemming, his step-daughter, Carol (Harvey) Neufeld, his grandchildren, Aiden, Lauren, Zoe, Niklas, Taylor, Bri, Mak, Janelle, Claire and Rene, his sister, Gwen Germaine, and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hazel and Willis Jefcoat and his siblings, Ruth, Delores, Donalda, Arthur and Maralyn.
Wayne was a quiet soul with a sharp wit and a dry sense of humour that revealed itself when you least expected it. A man of few words, he expressed his emotions most clearly through music. His guitar was a constant companion, and music was his language of comfort and connection. He was also a skilled carpenter and renovated several of his own homes and made his own furniture. He contributed to the community through the Kinsmen, serving as a volunteer firefighter and playing in his church’s band. In his later years, Wayne found peace in simple pleasures – spending hours restoring his old pickup truck, working patiently and deliberately. These moments reflected who he was: thoughtful, steady and content in the familiar.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife, his children, his extended family and friends, who will remember him for his gentle presence, understated humour and the quiet love he showed in his own way.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Parkview Place in Enderby and its wonderful staff for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Wayne in his final days.
A memorial service will be held in the new year.
