In Loving Memory

Carol Cramer

Carol Cramer (née Evans), 84, of Vernon, BC, passed away peacefully on November 23,
2025. Born on May 16, 1941, in Alice, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Iva and Fred
Evans.

Carol was immensely proud of her strong work ethic, her ability to thrive under pressure, and
her exceptional knowledge of a wide range of software programs. Throughout her career, she
continually upgraded her skills, enrolling in Continuing Education courses to stay current as
technology evolved. While in Canada, she worked as an Executive Secretary for West Kootenay
Power, Wilkinson Steel & Metals, BC Forestry Association, and BC Air Filters, where she was
valued for her professionalism and dedication, before retiring to Armstrong to enjoy life by the
pool. Carol loved welcoming visitors and was happiest hosting friends and family in her
backyard oasis.

Beyond her career, Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially watching her
favourite game shows, indulging in her love of shopping, and cheering on her Vancouver
Canucks. Whether searching for the perfect find, guessing along with contestants on TV, or
rooting for her team on game nights, these everyday comforts brought her happiness.

Carol’s greatest joy, however, was her family. She recently lost her loving husband, Gerry
Cramer, and now leaves to cherish her memory her children from her first marriage to her
former spouse, Norm Dennis: Dara Waterstreet (Derek) of Trail, BC, and Michael Dennis
(Stacey) of Birmingham, Alabama. She is also lovingly remembered by her adored
grandchildren: Kendra, Jaxson, Alyssa, and Aiden.

Most recently, Carol had moved to Vernon and made her home at Columbus Court, where she
quickly formed meaningful friendships. She embraced the community wholeheartedly—playing
cards, joining activities, and sharing laughter and stories with those around her. In many ways,
she had never been happier.

At this time, there will be no formal service. Instead, the family invites friends and loved ones to
honour Carol’s memory in a way she would have appreciated: y’all pop open an iced tea, share
a fond story, and hold close the people who matter most.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s name to JoeAnna’s House, an organization
she was grateful to have access to. Contributions can be made through the KGH Foundation
website, which operates the house.

Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her warmth, humour, and love will remain
in the hearts of many.
