Patsy (Patti) Arlette Kowall

In Loving Memory
Patsy (Patti) Arlette Kowall

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Patsy (Patti) Arlette Kowall, 84, of Enderby, BC on November 13, 2025.
Patsy was the firstborn of 5, born on Mar. 5, 1941, to Archie and Elsie Ewen in Emo, Ont. She spent most of her early life in and around Emo, a small town on the Can./US. border. Being in this location, I remember her telling me of a waitress’s job where she met and got autographs of many famous performers of that day, Johnny Cash, Paul Anka, and others.
In 1962, she met and married Jack and so began her married life in Atikokan, Ont. Patsy was now kept busy with being a wife, homemaker and Mom to her 2 small children.
In 1968, the family moved to Thompson Man., for a few years and then back to Atikokan.
In 1971, another move, and this time across the country to BC., where they lived in Westbank, then Vernon, Armstrong, Grindrod and finally settled in Enderby.
In Enderby, Patsy got a job at the Enderby hospital as a Dietary Aid and then as a Housekeeper. She worked there from 1978 to the hospital’s closure in 1990, and then at Parkview Care Home after that until retirement.
Parkview was also the care home where Patsy spent her final years with dementia, and I was told by the staff that there were times when they still found her ‘wiping things off’.
After many years of moving, raising children and various ups and downs, Patsy gave her heart to Jesus in March of 1979. This began a beautiful relationship as Patsy spent time reading her Bible, attending Bible studies, praying with people and telling others about Jesus. Soon after, Patsy and Jack attended Morris Cerellos school of Ministry in San Diego, which began a lifelong pattern of attending various Christian conferences. YWAM in Hawaii, Aglow conferences, trips to an orphanage in Haiti and also to the Holy Land in Isreal.
Patsy loved being with people and through the years, she belonged to a bowling team, a TOPS group, a scrapbooking club, and many other organizations. Together with her love of photography and scrapbooking she created many beautiful albums with her various photos of her family and friends.
Patsy enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, being with her family and grandchildren, and going for walks along Enderby’s scenic River Walk.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Kimberly, her grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy), Nick (Jillian), and Jeffrey. Patsy’s great grandchildren Cordaliene, Kaeli, Jacob and Josiah and her great, great granddaughter, Nellie Mae. Patsy’s siblings, Terry (Rose), Judy, Eric (Sharon), and Bruce (Joan).
She is predeceased by her husband, Jack (Nov 18, 2021) and her son, Darren (Feb 18, 2011).
Patsy was fun, caring, and so very generous and supportive to everyone she met! We will all miss her so much!
A Memorial Service will be held for Patsy on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2pm in the Enderby Evangelical Church (708 Mill Avenue, Enderby, BC).

My sympathy & prayers go to Kim, Shannon & all the family on the loss of Pat. She was truly a blessing – always smiling, ready to pray & love on people! She blessed me abundantly while I was volunteering in Israel for 7 years with her support & it was always a joy to get her notes of care. The hope we have as followers of Jesus is that we will meet again & that is such a comfort to me & I’m sure, to the family. Thank you Pat for your walk of love & care here on earth – “Well done, good & faithful servant.”
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pat. She was such a wonderful and caring woman. I am so grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing her. Many great memories that I will cherish of her 💜 my deepest condolences to all the family. I couldn’t have asked for a better GG for the kids, she loved all her grandchildren so much.
