It is with love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mildred, who passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025.

Born in Milner, BC on January 10, 1929, she lived a life rich with family, laughter, and adventure. At the age of 19 she married Louis Krohn, and together they raised five children, Gwen (David), Donna (Danny), Robert (Susan), Rick (Nina), and Martha — in both British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

She was a woman who found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments — tending to her garden, spending time outdoors, and sharing her love of hunting and fishing with family and friends. Her sense of adventure carried her far beyond home, with her favourite journeys being the 3 cruises she took to Alaska, with the last one being her most cherished with her best friend and daughter in law, Susan and her road trip to the States with Martha and Shannon. Traveling was one of her favorite activities, a reflection of her boundless curiosity and love for discovery.

Her family was her greatest pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love that continues to grow through her 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also was a nanny to many children, fondly telling stories of the triplets she cared for.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Bob and Brent, her sister Leora, her husband Louis, her son in law Danny and her treasured grandchildren Shannon and Richard.

Though we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing she lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, resilience, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.

Our condolences to all of Mildred’s family. She took care of our twins and two year old back in the early 80’s. There never was a better babysitter or nicer person. I’m so glad she had a long and fruitful life. I was afraid she might never recover from taking care of our kids but I can only remember her smiling face. Now when I think of her, I smile. Dr. John B.
