In Loving Memory

Emil Zendek September 30, 1944 – October 25, 2025

It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband Emil Zendek. He left us October 25th, 2025 at 6:15 A.M. with his beloved Denese and dear friend Nancy at his side.

He is survived by his son Christopher, grandson Hunter, sisters Matilda of Toronto, Elfriede of Vernon and numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Special mention to nephew Marek for all his support over the years, wife Hania, nephew Peter and wife Dorota of Toronto and predeceased by his son Andy, who left us far too early.

Emil’s legacy will live through the countless memories of boating, golfing, travelling and spending winters in our home in Florida. He will be remembered for his unwavering support for his friends, and his sense of humor which made every day brighter.

Emil will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was truly loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cardiac and Intensive Care Vernon Jubilee Hospital and/or Kidney Care Kelowna General Hospital.

Funeral Mass to be held at 11am on November 5th at  St. James Catholic Church.
