In Loving Memory
Gerard Edward Dupont

Gerard Edward Dupont
February 16, 1943-October 16, 2025
Gerry was born in Edmonton along with his twin brother Larry, and was the youngest of 9 children. After high school Gerry rediscovered himself when he became president at SAIT. He had an enlightening and rewarding career with XEROX for 14 years serving as a technician and several management assignments. In 1979 Gerry left XEROX to pursue an entrepreneurial roll by founding Tridon Communications in Alberta. He established a team of 10 separate partnerships throughout Alberta where he met the love of his life Gloria in 1981. Together they grew the businesses until 1986 when their companies were purchased by National Pagette, a division of Bell Canada. Gloria & Gerry were married in 1986 and moved to the Okanagan Valley for the rest of his days. While in the Okanagan, Gerry became an active partner in a group of companies under the Omega banner.
Gloria & Gerry were able to travel the world on and off from 1986 to 2005. Gerry retired in 2007. From that point until his passing Gerry devoted his time to family, golf and movie production (a new hobby). Gerry was
particularly proud of the Golf Program he wrote which was used by the Senior Men’s Golf Group at the Overlander Golf Club for over 10 years.
Family was everything to Gerry and until the end, encouraged family gatherings whenever possible.
Gerry leaves behind his wife, Gloria, daughters Dawn (Rocco), Janine, and stepdaughters Carrie and Cindy. Nine Grandchildren: Marcus and Corbin, Brittany and Ashley, Damon and Tyranna, Chase, Aidan, and Devon, his twin brother Larry of Vernon and his beloved Beagles Brandy and Raven.
Our beloved Dad, Grandfather, and husband died in his home after painful days of suffering from prostate cancer. He was grateful for the oncologists in the Vernon Cancer Unit and the Palliative Care Unit in Vernon for their guidance in pain management. We miss his love, his guidance, his lectures, his compassion, and his hugs.

Gloria and family please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. May you Rest In Peace Gerry.
Though we lived in different provinces, I was fortunate enough to spend time with Gerry, on many occasions while visiting Dawn and Rocco, in Kelowna. We were staying at Gerry and Gloria’s silverstar home, the night that Dawn met Rocco. Gerry played a pivotal role in my son Matthew’s university experience. I will never forgot that while Matthew was finishing his first year of university at UBCO, in sciences, along with his best friend, Marcus, he asked to listen in on a business conference call, that Gerry was on. After the call, Matthew and Gerry discussed business around the call, and that led Gerry to advise Matthew, that perhaps he needed to switch to studying business at UBCO, based on their discussion. Matthew did go on to switch to the business program and graduated with a major in business, and a minor in finance. Gerry was a very warm and caring man, who shared his wisdom with many of us. We were all fortunate to have known him, and been able to spend many warm moments with him and Gloria, and their extended family. I am forever grateful for these times, and will cherish them always!!!
To the entire family: thank you for sharing Gerry with us and our family, and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers, at this difficult time!! Much love!!!!
Kim and Darrell Hutchings, and family❤️
