Sylvia Leona Haralds

April 6, 1932 – July 27th, 2025
It is with sadness and fond memories that we announce the passing of our mother, Sylvia Leona
Haralds (nee Kent), of Vernon, BC. She passed away at her home on Appaloosa Way on July 27,
2025, with family by her side.
Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Kent, formerly of Prince Albert,
Saskatchewan, and her brothers, Clem and Ed as well as her former husband, Reynold
Bremner. She is survived by two remaining siblings, Orvin Kent of Saskatoon, and Ken
Kent (Sharon) of Calgary.
Sylvia is also survived by her husband Harald Haralds and her children, Randy
Bremner, Brenda Fraser, Sandra Boyko, and Lori Peterson. Grandchildren include Jodi
Bremner, Jessica Garro, Tara Westerman, John Bremner, Sarah Paysen, Paul Boyko,
Ashley Boyko, Jesse Peterson and Brandi Peterson. There are also thirteen great-
grandchildren. Sylvia was born and raised amongst a loving family in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Once
completing high school she began her nurse’s training in PA. This would lead to a long
and successful career.
At the age of 23 she married and began raising a family of four children. With a husband
in the Canadian Airforce the family had many adventures residing in many parts of
Canada, ending with retirement in Vernon, BC. Many summers were spent with their
families back in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Our mother enjoyed a long and wonderful life enjoying her career and time spent with
her large family. Over the years many happy family get togethers took place at her
home on Appaloosa Way overlooking Okanagan Lake. She was a loving and kind mother
and grandmother to us all and we will sorely miss her.
A Celebration of Life tribute is being planned for the near future by her loved ones.
