Carol Ann Malcolm

June 27, 1945 – June 7, 2025

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Malcolm, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, in Armstrong, British Columbia, at the age of 79.

Carol was born on June 27, 1945, in Lancashire, England, to George and Ethel Walsh. In 1954, she immigrated to Canada with her family, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and quiet determination.

As a youth, Carol was active in sports and carried that energy and dedication into all areas of her life. She was deeply involved in her church community and gave generously of her time to support school events and local volunteer efforts.

Carol worked for many years at Cooper’s Foods, where she was known for her warm smile, dependable presence, and genuine kindness. She touched the lives of coworkers and customers alike with her welcoming nature and steady grace.

Carol lived her life with tenacity and conviction. She fought hard for the underdog and never hesitated to stand up for what she believed was right — especially when it came to fairness in the workplace. Her sense of justice, strength of character, and loyalty to others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

In November of 1968, Carol married her beloved husband, Brian Malcolm, and together they shared 50 devoted years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

A loving wife and mother, she poured her heart into caring for her family and giving back to others. She was a proud mother to Colleen Malcolm-Taylor, David Malcolm, Scott Malcolm, Lisa Ens (Gene), and Ian Malcolm. She was also an adoring grandmother to Stephanie, Megan, Robert, Briann, Jordan, and Kala, as well as a cherished great-grandmother to Lucas, Wyatt, Emma, Zoey, and Everitt.

Carol is survived by her brother, Michael David Walsh (Florence); her niece, Linda Kaplan; and her nephew, Shawn Walsh (Darla).

A private family gathering will be held to honour Carol’s life.

Carol’s legacy lives on through her family and all those who were blessed to know her. Her gentle spirit, selflessness, and deep love for family will remain in our hearts always.
