In Loving Memory
Charles Roger Watson
With heavy hearts, the family of Charles Roger Watson (Roger) regret sharing the news of his sudden passing at home on December 19th, 2024, with his cherished wife Myrna (Stead) by his side. Along with Myrna, Roger is survived by his brother James Watson and sister, Carolyn Andruchow. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Agnes Watson and his sister Morag Cymbaluk of Lake Country, BC.
Roger was born in Perth, Scotland and was very proud of his ancestry. He came to Canada with his parents and sister as a 2-year-old. The family first settled in Kelowna, BC, then on to California, then back to Kelowna for a short time before moving to Kitimat, BC, where Roger finished his schooling at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School. Roger continued his education at BCIT receiving his Steamfitter Pipefitter certification in 1968 and a Certified Welding Inspector in 2008. He was a member of UA Plumbing and Pipefitting Loc 170 for 55 years. He worked on construction for many mines, mills and bridges in Canada.
Throughout his life he had many interests, construction, cars, boating, fishing and traveling in his treasured RV with Myrna by his side. He liked nothing better than sitting down and having a lively conversation regarding the state of the world, politics or hockey. He loved the Canucks!
The family would like to thank Roger and Myrna’s community of neighbours and friends, who have been so kind with loving support, hugs, walks, visits and phone calls.
There will be no service by request, but a small reception will be held at a later date.

I was so sad to hear of Roger’s passing. My Condolences to the family! Roger was such a good friend for so many years. Sending love and hugs to you Myrna!
We are both deeply sad to read of Roger’s passing on December 19th, our fondest memories are of him and Myrna visiting us in Northumberland, UK, many years ago on their visit to Roger’s Scottish place of birth. We also have lasting memories of his bountiful nature when we visited Kelowna and stayed with Myrna while Roger worked away from home, but reunited at the airport before we left on our return journey. A wonderful man married to a beautiful lady – Myrna. Rest in eternal peace Roger Watson. XX
