In Loving Memory of

Robert Dennis Leung

March 20, 1936 – December 16, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Robert Dennis Leung on Dec.16th, 2024 in Vernon, BC at the age of 88.

Robert was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on March 20th, 1936.  He married his wife Marcelle in 1959 and together had 2 children, Lisa and Kurt.

The family moved from Trinidad in 1968 and resided in France, Atlanta, Montreal, Calgary and Vernon.

Robert, the youngest of the family was predeceased by his parents James and Eunice, his 8 siblings (4 brothers and 4 sisters) and his cherished wife Marcelle.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Mike), son Kurt (Susan), grandchildren Stacey (Brian), Cristian, Cassie and great grandkids Ava and Hudson. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

Robert lived a quiet and respectful life, enjoyed Stamp Collecting, Soccer, Cricket and following Horse Racing.  His love for numbers led him to a career in bookkeeping and accounting.  Upon retiring he decided to become a banquet organizer with the Calgary Stampede.

We wish to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the North Okanagan Hospice for all the care your staff rendered to my dad during his time in hospice.  For that we are truly grateful and appreciative.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Okanagan Hospice Society (3506 27th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4).

A private and quiet graveside service will be held in the Spring.

Deepest sympathy to Lisa, Kurt and family on Robert’s passing. Robert and Marcelle and my late husband Mow and myself spent many vacations together at Shuswap, Whitefish, Las Vegas, Whistler, San Francisco/Disney Land, Mazatlan, to name a few. My memories of Robert and Marcelle are numerous over a long period and will be treasured forever. He is now at peace with his beloved at a supreme destination. May he Rest in Peace.
