In Loving Memory

Laura Beverley Candy

Beverley was born on May 11, 1940, to Aubrey and Laura Brooks.  She passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024.

Beverley grew up in Springfield Ontario, where she met the love of her life, Chuck Candy, while in primary school.  The happy couple married in 1958 and then had two children.  Chucks career blossomed and while climbing the corporate ladder the Candy family found themselves moving 15 times. Bev always made their new home comfortable for the family. The couple called Enderby home for the final chapter of their life, enjoying life close to family and wintering in Arizona.

After her husbands passing, Bev found new comfort in the camaraderie of friends in Enderby’s independent living facility, where she lived her final days.

Her loving family will always remember the excitement she expressed and how proud she was of them for even the smallest of accomplishments.

Beverley is survived by her son Dennis Candy (Corinne) her granddaughter Sara Perdue (Mathew), along with their children, Katarina and Jace; and her grandson Scott Candy. She is also survived by her daughter Debbie Deveau (Joseph); her granddaughter Monique Comer (Chad) with their children, Avery and Layne; and her granddaughter Katharine Kessler (Chris) , along with their children, Brodie and Nathan. And brother-in-law Larry Fricker (Vivian) and sister-in-law Dorris Brooks.

Beverley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her three brothers, Bob, Jim, and John.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at VJH for their care, ensuring Beverley’s peaceful transition. A special thanks is given to Eric, the spiritual health practitioner, for his gentle guidance, helping Beverley find calm acceptance during her souls transformation to what we recognize as heaven.

Beverley will forever be remembered for her love, dedication, and the cherished memories she created with her family. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire us as we share stories of her life well lived.

We are profoundly grateful for the role she played in our lives and will carry her spirit with us always as her soul rests at peace.

“Don’t count the days, make the days count.”
