In Loving Memory
Stella Lourdes Renneberg (nee Hurley)
On October 18, 2024, Stella’s long battle with Alzhiemer’s came to an end. Stella was predeceased by Ray Renneberg, her husband of 64 years, in 2022. She leaves behind her 5 children: Judy (Dean) Bachand; John (Brenda); Michele (Clay) Salter; Lisa (Jamie) Gushta; and Berni (Murray) Linfitt. As well as grandchildren: Giselle & Levi; Jason & Lindsay; Jodie, Lisa & Rae-Anne; Jordan & Erin; Kent and numerous great grandchildren. Stella is also survived by her sister Alice and sisters-in-law Louise, Joyce and Muriel.
Stella was born in Semiwagan Ridge, New Brunswick. She was the 12th of 13 children. She attended secretarial college, met Ray, and they were married October 12, 1957. As Ray was in the Air Force, they moved several times over the years settling in Kamloops in 1976. Stella was employed at Woodwards for over 20 years where she met several life long friends. After retirement, she was actively involved with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Stella was a devout Catholic and member of OLPH and Holy Family Parishes.
Stella is remembered for her friendliness, her generous spirit, and her welcoming demeanor. Her love of baking, cooking, and feeding others made her house a home. There were always meals, snacks and treats waiting for her children, their friends, and later, the grandkids. Stella took pride in her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with each of them. One of her favourite pastimes was shopping! No one could find a deal like Stella! If there is a Winners in Heaven, she will be there.
The family would like to thank all of the staff on C1 and at the Hamlets for taking such good care of Stella for the past 10.5 years.
In lieu of flowers, prayers at any Roman Catholic Church or donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC would be appreciated.

Our condolences to the family. Stella was a true friend . Remembering all the good times we had with Ray and Stella. Rest in peace Stella .
So sorry for your loss! She was a good friend of my Mom Betty O’Fee and I used to visit her often when I worked close by. Your Dad would always make sure there was tea and cookies and I enjoyed their company.
