Jessica Dawn Brown
It is with broken hearts that the family of Jessica Dawn Brown shares the news of her passing.
Her mom and dad, Vicki and Jason, her sister Cayla (Russ), and brother Spencer miss her terribly already.
You taught us all so much. We love you.
Jessica was born and raised in Vernon and grew up alongside her siblings where she learned to ski and fish and camp, and in particular, she loved to swim. Jessica enjoyed the many lakes around the Okanagan whether she was boating, tubing or swimming. Jessica has always enjoyed music and technology and used it to connect with friends online. As an adult, Jessica moved to Burns Lake with her family and spent lots of time walking the trails around town with her mom. We hope this message reaches all who would like to join our family in mourning her loss.
A memorial will be held on August 10, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am.
It will lovingly be led by her grandma Diane.
Our family invites all who love her to attend. Jessica’s memorial will be held at our good family friend’s property at
1610 Simons Road, Armstrong, BC.
Live Streaming will be available through this online obituary.
Link will be live approximately 10-20 minutes before the start of the service.
Song of Jessica(July 1997),
by Virginia Park, Great Grandma to Jessica
In the fullness of time, she came to be,
A new bud on our family tree.
Jessica Dawn, we love you so,
And pray that you will thrive and grow.
On the first night of her life,
Her life was threatened, oh what strife!
An angel came, to sing her a lullaby,
Hush a, hush a, lullaby,
Darling baby, do not sigh.
Singing so soft and low, only Jessica could know,
Her mother stayed by her side,
To nourish and comfort her when she cried.
The long dark days, turned into a week,
While doctors, a treatment seek.
One month later, they did say,
Our baby could come home next day.
Mother, baby, and medication,
We awaited their arrival,
With great anticipation.
A child is she of special need,
A happy beautiful child indeed.
Jessica is her sister’s pet, who teaches,
Her to sing, a sweet duet,
A toddler of two years she’s grown to be,
A precious one to me.
Jessica may never see the blue of skies,
A sunset bright, or butterflies,
The stars in the heavens of the night,
Because God did not yet, give her sight.
Miracles happen every day,
If we all hope and pray.
We’re confident somewhere, someday,
Someone will find a way.
The little angel is with her still,
As there was one to spare,
Left to help her carry on,
Her name is Jessica Dawn
