In Loving Memory

Brian Thomas Goldie

It is with heavy hearts  that we announce the passing of Brian Thomas Goldie of Kamloops on May 20th, 2024, at 69 years of age.

He is survived by his loving wife Iona just short of 48 years, children Nicole (Chris) of Kelowna, BC, Jennifer (Andrew) of Kamloops, grandchildren Grey and Olivia, brothers and sister; Ron of Lethbridge, AB, Maureen (George) of Yuma Arizona, Randy (Deb) of Calgary, AB and Brett of Medicine Hat, AB as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Brian is predeceased by his dad Tom Goldie in May of 1985 and his mom Barbara Lowther in December of 2014. Brian worked in the construction industry for most of his working years. He did find a passion later in his career for concrete. He loved playing in the dirt, mixing up the perfect recipe for his clients. His clients were always impressed with the knowledge he had toward concrete and his ability to create different designs for many projects.

He was diagnosed in March of 2023 with cancer. He stayed positive throughout the treatment hoping for a full recovery. He endured many surgeries never complaining and tried to keep a smile on his face and a positive attitude. The terminal diagnosis came in early March of 2024. His battle with cancer was short and hard fought. He passed away at home with his loving family at his side. He will be dearly missed by his wife, family and his many friends and co-workers.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Brian on August 15, 2024 (His 70th birthday) from 2-4 pm at the West Highlands Community Center 1185 Links Way, Kamloops, BC.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are graciously accepted in Brians name to the Cancer Society.
