In Loving Memory
Audrey Elizabeth Reichennek
It is with a saddened and broken heart that I am writing this obituary for my sister Audrey Elizabeth Reichennek, who passed suddenly after a short illness on Monday February 26th. I am so saddened by this loss. My consolation is that she is free of pain and suffering. She has started a new journey, one that I know will bring her much deserved peace.
Audrey loved water skiing as a child right into her adult years. She also loved skating including roller skating. She loved being at our family cabin and soaking up the sun. Audrey was unique in many ways, one that makes me chuckle a bit is her belief in always being practical. You would never see Audrey getting her nails done or spending money on things that she found unnecessary in life. Only the basics for her. I used to call her cheap but really, she was thrifty. In honour of her practical personality, she will have only a basic burial with a small graveside service. Date to be announced to friends and family later. Audrey leaves behind her sister Susie Reid and niece Kathryn Reichennek and nephew Lucas Reichennek. Audrey is predeceased by her brothers Byron Reichennek, Stanley Reichennek, nephew Kurt Reichennek and her parents Katie and Kurt Reichennek. A Graveside Serivce will take place at the Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at 1:00pm.

I worked with Audrey at the Sears coffeeshop many years ago. We were both young. She was a hard worker and a nice person. I am sad to hear of her passing. RIP.
I am sorry for your loss Susan and family. I worked at the Group Home Audrey lived at from the day she moved in to the day it closed. Audrey was a wonderful woman , I remember the drives we went on with her showing me her family home, trips to the Airport to watch planes land, just around Kamloops and the many trips to pick her up a coffee. Audrey told me stories of the Shuswap where her family had a cabin and her water skiing in the summer, her job at Tranquil which she really liked and was sad when it closed. Audrey was a very interesting woman and will be missed.❤️
