Catherine (Cathy) Louise Jackson
June 26, 1958 - February 20, 2024
In Loving Memory
Catherine (Cathy) Louise Jackson
Cathy passed away February 20, 2024 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born June 26, 1958 in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts and subsequently a Bachelor of Education. Initially starting her career as a primary education teacher, bilingual with French and English, she then moved to Vernon and found work within Strata Management. Away from work, she found opportunity for international travel, immersing herself in culture and history. She loved spending the Vernon summers swimming in Kalamalka lake and tending to her garden. Her retirement years allowed more time for Tai Chi, playing outdoors with her cats, and volunteering across various local organizations. She was always considerate, admirably independent, and prioritized time with family.
Cathy is survived by her mother Lois, brother Rick (Karen), sister Andrea (Ron), nieces Meghan, Samantha, Katelyn and nephews Jeffrey and Jared.
She extended her thanks to the staff of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, and her community healthcare team. There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Society.

Sincere condolences to the Jackson family on the loss of Cathy. She was a happy, bubbly person who enjoyed life, fun, responsibility, and most of all, her family. She will be missed.
My sincere condolences. I knew Cathy from the Vernon and District Garden Club. I enjoyed her energetic and knowledgeable manner. Cathy went out of her way to be kindly and helpful to all at the meetings, flower shows and May plant sale. Such a nice person!
we came to know Cathy and enjoyed our time with her as a volunteer at the Red Cross HELP depot and again with the BC Winter Games this past year. Our condolences go out to her family, she will be missed.

We have known Cathy for the past 14 years as we were lucky enough to move into the home beside hers.
You could not ask for a better neighbour or friend. She was always there to offer a helping hand and great gardening tips. We will miss our over the fence chats.
Our deepest condolences to Cathy’s family.
My dear; my heart was stricken to hear of your illness, and then (now) so very thankful you are no longer in pain. With love from Sharon
