In Loving Memory
André Joseph Eloi Bouchard
It is with great sadness that the family of André “Andy” Bouchard announce his passing on January 21, 2024 in Vernon, B.C
Andy was born in McLennan, Alberta on November 10th, 1936. He grew up in Tangent, Alberta where he met his wife of 64 years, Thèrése. In 1969, Andy and Thèrése moved with their children to Mackenzie, B.C where Andy embarked on a career in the local sawmill. After retirement from the sawmill, Andy enjoyed keeping busy by working at Trico fixing small engines. Eventually, Andy and Thèrése relocated to the Okanagan where they enjoyed the gorgeous weather.
Andy was well known for his mechanical abilities and loved to repair small engines. Andy loved fishing, camping, playing crib, golfing, automobiles, church, “people watching” and sampling sweets of any kind. Most of all, Andy loved to keep busy by helping anyone in need.
Andy is survived by his loving family, wife Thèrése, Daughter Dianne (Wayne), Son Michel, Grandchildren Amber (Kyle), John, and special great grandchildren Ronan and Melody. Andy is also survived by Brothers Edmond, Albert, Romeo (Darlene), and Sisters Valrona, Pierette (Gilles) and Suzanne. Andy is also missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends who brought him great joy.
Andy was predeceased by his parents George & Denise Bouchard, Brothers Joseph, Vilmond, Yvon, Paul, Richard, Adrien, and his Sister Grey Nun Thérèse Bouchard.
The family wish to thank the staff of Creekside Landing for their love, support, and the great care they gave Andy. A celebration of life will be held in Mackenzie, B.C in the Summer of 2024.
