In Loving Memory

James (Jim) Perry

James (Jim) Douglas Perry passed away peacefully at home on January 17th, 2024.

Jim was born in Burnaby on August 6th, 1953, where he lived for many years before moving to Surrey where he met Sharon in 2007. They lived in Surrey for 10 years before moving to Vernon, where he adjusted very well to the small-town living. Before retiring in Vernon, he worked many jobs that he took great pride in, from warehouse to dispatching, though his favourite was at Walrus Truck and Crane in Surrey.

His personality was magnetic, and his laugh contagious. He was a great friend. Friends would always stop to talk, and he would always tease them. Jim was an exceptional husband, father, stepfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Krause, sons Tyler and Kyle Perry, stepdaughters Kristy and Shonna Malakoff, and brother Sam (Joane) Perry. He is predeceased by parents Georgina and Douglas Perry.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

  1. Uncle John says:

I will always remember having great fun on our camping trips, and how you looked out for. Cathi more like a big brother than a cousin, and how you fixed my computer when it was giving me a bad time you were always there to give me a hand with it. It’s not the same now no more politics to pull apart just time to rest with your Mum and Dad have a safe and peaceful trip.
    Love Uncle John
