Cindy Louise Russ (Swanson)

Our family is at great loss and with deep sadness to announce the passing of Cindy Louise Russ (Swanson). Born December 20th, 1964, in Kelowna, B.C. Cindy passed away December 2023, at the young age of 59. Cindy graduated from Vernon Secondary School in 1982. She worked at ICBC Vernon branch for over 31 years and Silver Star liquor store over the last 4+ years and was dedicated to both her jobs. She was well-known and loved throughout the Okanagan community. Cindy was a beautiful lady, kind soul, a fantastic mother, a beloved sister, and a wonderful friend. She was always eager to help others when she could and expressed sincere gratitude to those who helped her. People knew Cindy as a woman who took the time to listen with an open heart and open mind. Her bubbly personality and smile was contagious to all. Please continue to laugh and share Cindys memories throughout the years to come as she will be forever loved and always missed.

Cindy was predeceased by her Mother, Barbara Russ; her father, Terry Russ; her grandparents, Martin and Doris Russ; and two aunts, Lillian Russ and Diana Kearney.

Cindy’s death is deeply felt by her two daughters, Sarah Disero (Eric Disero) and Mariah Swanson, her sister Marnie Hill (Dwayne Hill) and her extended family and friends, who all held a special place in her heart.

A graveside memorial and celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2024 in Vernon, B.C.
