Lillian Elsie Walker (Marcolli)

Lil was the seventh child of John Walker and Ellen Jane Cook, born January 1, 1922, in Calgary, AB. Lil passed away on March 20, 2023, in Kamloops, BC at 101 years young. She was predeceased by husband Henry (1972) and daughter Betty (2019) and is survived by her children Marie (Bob) of Kelowna, BC, Shirley of Weyburn, SK, Lonie (Al) of Kamloops, BC, Bill (Megan) of Nakusp, BC, Wendy of Kelowna, BC, and Karrie (Dan) of Revelstoke, BC. Also left to cherish Lil’s memory are 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Our mom (Lil) was a strong, independent, and humble woman. Her family was very dear to her and her source of pride. We were often reminded how lucky she felt to have all of us. Our mom was a hard worker teaching herself how to cook, knit and sew many of our clothes. She was great at making something out of almost nothing. In mom’s later years she enjoyed puzzles, bingo, playing cards and watching hockey and curling.

Mom led a long and happy life but at the end she was ready for her final journey. Farewell mom.
